The newly released Cynthia Rowley Resort 2022 collection aims to be full of energy, life and movement. And it achieves just that.

Using artistic techniques to effortlessly capture the brand’s ethos, Rowley moved towards a more playful femininity with this collection. Though still remaining true to the colorful spirit of the brand.

Showcasing these ideas in their entirety is the wetsuit, seen at the helm of the collection. The design of this water-wear is all smooth curves and vibrant hues – no sharp edges or dullness to be found.

Summer is a time of freedom, freshness and whimsy, making it Rowley’s most exciting season. Through her creativity and experimentation as a designer, Rowley captures those split-second moments, frozen in time. With models perched atop a swing, the light, breezy materials of the pieces are showcased. Billowing skirts are seen fluttering in the wind, apparently mid-movement.

The designer added new innovative details to this collection, incorporating eye-catching jewels throughout – even in the sportier looks. The bijoux, which can often add a note of seriousness, in fact adds to the playfulness and joy of pieces. Glimmering stones adorn the strong silhouette of the champagne silk dress, catching the light and adding a touch of luxury to an otherwise simple look.

Full, voluminous skirts also have a tendency to bog wearers down. Not in this collection, however. Instead, they are caught in the breeze, contributing to the airy and fresh feel evoked by Rowley. Wind-tossed tulle is an ode to the lightness and playfulness of summer. The shimmering mini tube top paired with the full tulle skirt gives this look a modern-princess air.
