Keeping true to Daniel Lee’s exploration of the rich Burberry archive and heritage British designs, the label has introduced its new Resort 2025 collection. Embellished with the energy of easy elegance that captures a sense of classical British attitude, the collection welcomes a magnified focus on trench coats, Harrington jackets, and Savile Row-inspired suits.

With Burberry check galore seen across tops, pants, and everything in between, the Resort 2025 collection brings focus to the house’s fabric development: think trench coats in a newly developed tri-layer cotton blend, peacoats in a patchwork of Prince of Wales tweed and herringbone wool blend, and materials such as linen and silk blends, with tweed, suede and shearling, adding in a nod to London’s bustling 1970s era.

All done up in a rich color palette of sun-bleached pale colors with earth-toned hues that are reminiscent of the English outdoors, the bags this season are *chef’s kiss*. The Rocking Horse bag becomes the star of the show, including its sibling bucket bag done in Burberry Check and a satchel with interchangeable straps, as well as the Shield bag in a new tote silhouette and the Knight as your new mini must have.

Diving deeper into the true British energy of the collection, VMAN chatted with model muse Will Chalker, who helps bring the new lineup to life in the house’s latest visuals, about resort life and style and his upcoming summer plans.

VMAN: If we’re not mistaken, this is your first campaign with Burberry. What excited you most about working with the heritage brand when asked to be one of the faces for this Spring 2025 (Resort) collection?

Will Chalker: Yes! First time working for Burberry. One of the most Iconic British brands! Great fun working with Tamara, Mark, Daniel, and the rest of the team. Beautiful clothes and you can see the attention to detail that’s gone into making of the garments and the styling of the shoot. It was a privilege to be chosen and it was great working with people that are excited about what they do.

VM: With the collection’s color palette tapping into the earthy tones of the British landscape, you can instantly picture the collection (especially the pieces you wear in the campaign) in an outdoor setting or hitting the town for a night out. Would you say you are more of an outdoorsy guy or prefer your at-home moments more?

WC: I’m definitely an outdoor person! I love being out in the countryside in the UK rain or shine. I love traveling for work, it still gets me tingling with excitement when I get to visit places I haven’t been before. Working on location with great people is one of the reasons I love my job!

VM: The collection has been crafted for a functional, lived-in approach with a tailored twist. What are some design details you look out for when looking for pieces to add to your own personal wardrobe? Are there any pieces you currently can’t live without?

WC: Good quality fabrics are always number one. clothes and shoes that make you feel good as soon as you put them on.

VM: Resort is all about looking stylish when going on holiday. With the summer season in full effect, what’s got you most excited for the coming months? Any travel plans?

WC: I’m looking forward to a trip away with my family during the school holidays, we’re not sure where exactly yet. I’m hoping to go on a canoe trip in Canada in September so I’m excited for that too!

VM: What are five of your essentials when going on holiday?

WC: Travel essentials for me are the usual array of chargers, etc., but I absolutely love my Smythson travel wallet that I keep my passport and tickets in, my wife bought it for me years ago as a birthday present and it reminds me of home and keeps me organized! My Fellowship body wash and moisturizer helps me show up looking and smelling decent.

VM: From your various editorial shoots with VMAN, we last captured you back in 2017 for our VMAN 37 issue. With a few years since then and (now about two decades of modeling under your belt), what would you say has you most excited about your career and the industry today?

WC: I feel so lucky and I count my blessings every day for the opportunities I’ve had to work for great publications and brands like VMAN. I’m definitely an optimist in general so I’m always excited and looking forward to what the future holds, as for my career and the fashion industry who knows what’s in store? Hopefully another 20 years!
