David Yurman has launched a limited-edition Woven Hemp Bracelet in collaboration with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, who serves as the brand’s 2023 ambassador. In an inspiring philanthropic effort, 20% of the bracelet’s purchase price will support the work of young changemakers worldwide through Mendes’ charitable organization, The Shawn Mendes Foundation.

“The Shawn Mendes Foundation’s mission is to help recognize and amplify talented young changemakers,” says Mendes. “We started SMF in 2019 to support young activists with resources and education. I’m incredibly passionate about the work we’re doing, and I’m excited to continue supporting and sharing the stories of these incredible young people through this partnership.”

In his commitment to sustainability, Mendes collaborated closely with the design team at David Yurman to ensure the product’s minimal environmental impact. The DY Hemp Woven Bracelet is crafted using material sourced from the stalks of Cannabis Sativa, making it a sustainable choice. Hemp cultivation requires minimal water and no synthetic fertilizer, and it even acts as a carbon-negative resource, absorbing more carbon than it emits.

“I think one of the things we, as individuals, can do to support sustainability efforts is do our best to pay attention to where things are sourced,” says Mendes.
