We want a revote on the phrase "a picture is worth a thousand words" after seeing images of Melania Trump sporting a military jacket with the words “I really don’t care, do u?” on the back– a thousand words is obviously not enough. The Daily Mail reported that Mrs. Trump wore the jacket when she initially boarded her plane in Maryland, and changed outfits before disembarking in Texas.

Just yesterday, Donald Trump signed an executive order intended to put a halt to the "zero tolerance" policy that worked to purposefully separate immigrant families upon crossing the border. Unfortunately, though, the fates of the more than 2,300 children already torn from their families remains unknown.

In addition, there are still the legal issues surrounding ending the practice, as the current president is attempting to circumnavigate the 1997 Flores settlement that establishes the temporal parameters around how long children can stay in detention centers even if they are with their parents. Should Trump get around the legislature, which, for the record, has never occurred, children may be held indefinitely. On the other hand, if he doesn't get around the settlement, children will still be separated from their families after 20 days.

So, one has to wonder amidst the tumultuous political climate: why would the first lady choose to wear this $39 Zara jacket (currently sold out for those of you wondering) when the purpose of the trip was to visit a detention center for immigrant children in Texas? FLOTUS spokesperson Stephanie Grisham wants us to avoid this question altogether, claiming:“It’s a jacket...There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope this isn’t what the media is going to choose to focus on.” We're not so sure about that...
