Delacey Releases Debut Album

LA-based singer and songwriter opens up about love, sex, fear and strength.

LA-based singer and songwriter Delacey opens up about love, sex, fear and strength on her debut album “Black Coffee” released today—alongside the official visual for her new single, ‘Black Coffee.’ The 13-track album produced by Ido Zmishlany (Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Demi Lovato, The Chainsmokers) comes at an appropriate time as the rising star celebrates tens of millions of streams and appearances in numerous big cities around the country.

Delacey’s soulful solo “My Man,” along with “The Subway Song” have already become fan-favorites. “Cruel Intentions” is a breakthrough track featuring rap megastar G-Eazy—a track that shines a spotlight on her vocals.

The Orange County, CA native started writing songs and playing piano at age seven, while idolizing the likes of Stevie Nicks and Billie Holiday, and listening to the vast vinyl collection she inherited from her father. Over the years Delacey developed her own narrative voice that is both self-aware and sharply poetic instilling each track with the melodic ingenuity she’s shown in co-writing #1 songs like Halsey’s “Without Me” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well as tracks for Demi Lovato, Zara Larsson, The Chainsmokers, Anne-Marie, and more.

Delacey’s debut body of work “Black Coffee” is a testament to her budding career. Listen to the whole album here and watch the official video for her single ‘Black Coffee’ below.
