It seems we can always count on Diane von Furstenberg for playful and elegant ready-to-wear. Now, the designer has collaborated with Henry Zankov to continue this trend and launch a multi-dimensional capsule that will initially debut with Bergdorf Goodman.
The looks throughout the ready-to-wear collection are infused with empowerment and whimsy, a signature of Von Furstenberg’s contribution to fashion over decades. For this collection, the designer’s classic wrap dress takes on a sequined, festive vibe and maintains its elegance. Polka-dot and graphic prints on silk headwraps evoke a bohemian flare. Paisley prints and hand-embroidered designs add feminine touches and provide tension to movable, confident silhouettes.

Henry Zankov, an alumni of DVF, leans into surprising textures and clashing colors infused throughout the collection. Fringe is found on cozy pieces, like a pale chartreuse sweater and camel knit coat. And the color palette chosen for the capsule is magnetic. Soft blue is found alongside rich burgundy across a handful of garments. Bold hues, like acid yellow, make a splash where least expected.

Considering each of the designers’ love for elevated fabrics and risks with color, the collaboration could seem inevitable. On the collaboration, Zankov states that “this collection came together organically because of my relationship with Diane. I have always admired her energy and spirit, which is timeless and audacious.”
The campaign was photographed by Willow Williams and styled by Jermaine Daley. According to DVF, “the campaign imagines a modern interpretation of Diane von Furstenberg herself — confident, unapologetic, eclectic, and always in motion.”
The capsule is available for pre-order on August 27 from Bergdorf Goodman and is available in-store or online starting on September 3. The collection will launch on September 15 at DVF’s Meatpacking boutique and online.
