Diesel is Selling NFT Versions of Their Fall 2022 Collection
Diesel becomes the latest fashion brand to explore the metaverse with the creation of D:verse

Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection will be sold as NFT’s, Womens Wear Daily reported yesterday.
The brand’s expansion into the metaverse will take place on the D:verse, a new platform for Diesel fans to buy NFT products and interact with one another virtually via their new Discord group. The D:verse will sell NFT versions of various Diesel runway looks, as well as real clothes, starting with last month’s Fall 2022 collection, Glenn Martins first as creative director.

Beyond special access to runway pieces, D:verse members will also get access to pre sales, raffles, and airdrops.
D:verse is not Diesels first rodeo in the metaverse. Last December, they released a new shoe, The Prototype, that came with a special-edition NFT made by digital fashion house The Fabricant. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, have been taking over the fashion world (and the real world). Other brands like Gucci and Burberry have been experimenting with them, and both Dolce & Gabbana and Jimmy Choo launched NFT collections during September’s NYFW.

Diesel is kicking off their metaverse expansion with an auction on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on Rarible, where bidders can buy a limited number of NFT’s, including the Prototype-CR sneakers, a puffer jacket, and a faux fur jacket made of shredded denim. The auction will be live for 55 hours, but D:verse members will get first bidding priority.
