Dior Beauty’s iconic ‘J’adore’ fragrance has welcomed a new successor, and she’s going for gold!
Dior Beauty has just introduced the new ‘L’Or de J’adore scent, created by Dior Beauty’s new perfume creation director Francis Kurkdjian. Kurkdjian is most known for his own namesake label, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, as well as his work at Jean Paul Gaultier, where he created the brand’s best-selling fragrance ‘Le Male’. Along with the refreshed fragrance, Dior Beauty is also tapping into their artistic roots, releasing a limited-edition art piece titled the “J’adore Exceptional” piece.
French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel teamed up with Dior Beauty to deliver an artistic interpretation of the new scent. Sourcing inspiration from the iconic amphora, Othoniel designed a larger-than-life rose flower case of sorts to house the “L’Or de J’adore” fragrance, with gold beads created in bronze seemingly interpreting flower petals that were hand polished one by one before being plunged into a bath of molten gold.
With only 100 art pieces signed, numbered, and created to be available worldwide, these rare editions will be available at flagships including the legendary 30 Avenue Montaigne, as well as Dior.com. As far as pricing is concerned, these will retail for about $15,000 apiece. Additional elements include a handcrafted white wood display box and white glove couture delivery service.
The fragrance itself is priced at $170. L’Or de J’adore focuses on the beauty of the J’adore flowers with balanced notes of orange blossom, jasmine grandiflorum, and centifolia rose absolutes.
The new fragrance is available here, while the art piece will available worldwide beginning this month of September 2023.
