Dior Beauty Eyes the Future with New Campaign featuring Yara Shahidi
Dior Beauty is relaunching their Forever Foundation, and promoting an inclusive idea of beauty with their new #Foreversisterhood campaign.
Dior Beauty is looking to the future with their newest foundation, Dior Forever. The skincare-centered foundation features an upgraded formula from 2007’s revolutionary Forever foundation, using cleaner ingredients for longer wear. Dior also tapped actress Yara Shahidi to be the face of the campaign, her first since being named a Global Ambassador of the brand. She is joined by Dior alum Natalie Portman.
“These strong and inspiring women appear as leaders of the Forever community, which is growing every day,” Dior Beauty says in a statement. “Today, Forever lies at the center of a large movement, and a real, inclusive community of men and women of every age and every skin color.” The Forever campaign is centered on sisterhood and diversity, and is backed up by the product itself.
The foundation comes in two distinct formulations, matte and luminous, both of which will feature 43 shades, ensuring inclusivity for all skin tones. Forever’s unique formulation includes mineral pigments in a plant-based coating, allowing for the foundation to act as a second-skin, without changing colors or oxidizing throughout the day.
“Each woman, no matter her complexion or skin type, aspires to look radiant with healthy glowing skin. Dior Forever is her most faithful ally thanks to a collection of shades that represents beauty and diversity,” says Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup.
The foundations contain an 86 percent floral skincare base, paying homage to Christian Dior’s passion for flowers. “It is the gift of beauty, like offering yourself a bouquet on a daily base,” says Philips. The powers of iris, pansy and nasturtium work to even skin tone and boost radiance, while lessening the appearance of pores.
The Dior Forever foundation campaign is the first step in a new direction for Dior, who as a whole are moving towards a more inclusive and supportive future.
