Dior Debuts New Podcast Series
Dior Talks is a platform for creative discussion in an entirely new forum.
While each of Dior’s collections boast an unprecedented level of artistry, the House’s creativity certainly exceeds that of only the runway. In recent years, the French Maison has explored entirely new realms, one most notably being the world of fine art. Dior debuted a collaborative art collection with American artist Daniel Arsham and established a long-term partnership with the Louvre in pursuit of restoring the Tuileries Garden in Paris. Now expanding its horizons beyond tailoring, textile craftsmanship, and even art, Dior just entered unexplored territory with its latest endeavor: an insightful podcast titled Dior Talks.
The podcast, hosted by London-based writer Katy Hessel, delves into the “contemporary Dior mind” and unites those who dictate the “direction of the House and those whose artistic, cultural or intellectual impact influence its narrative” in a series of productive conversations. For this season, Dior Talks examines feminist art from the varied perspective of several empowered women in today’s contemporary social landscape. In the two already released episodes, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior’s Creative Director, and artist Judy Chicago offer deep insight into their feminine self-expression through different modes of art.
