Dior Fall 2022: A Coordinated Collection That Reimagines Uniformity

The Dior Fall 2022 collection by Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri made its debut in Seoul, South Korea, a first for the luxury fashion house.

Dior’s Fall 2022 show presentation at Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul, South Korea saw the unveiling of the collection’s inspiration: uniformity re-conceptualized. This theme as part of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s vision for Dior Fall 2022 emerges through its pleated skirts, jackets, and their special embellishments attributed to school uniforms. Its redefinition credits Christian Dior’s sophisticated interpretation of the concept.

The collection also comprises black and white kilts, jackets borrowed from menswear that rethink the luxury fashion house’s signature Bar jacket, men’s long coats, ultra-short skirts, and biker shorts that pair with accompanying white blouses and ties. Three-dimensional embroideries come alive through knitwear along with a pixelated zodiac rendered in the style of a video game. The collection’s evening gowns highlight the volumes of Christian Dior’s symbolic silhouettes such as the reinvented Junon model with asymmetrical cuts.
