Last night, the 2022 Guggenheim International Gala fundraising event took place at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The gala, made possible by Dior, supports fundraising for one of New York City’s most legendary art institutions. Prior to the night’s dinner, guests were invited to view the exhibition Alex Katz: Gathering, a collection of paintings by the Brooklyn-based artist whose work is inspired by “quick things passing.”

The gala included a performance by Norah Jones, multi-grammy winning singer and pianist. The event had its fair share of celebrities who donned Dior, including Alexandra Daddario, Nina Dobrev, Leandra Medine, and Derek Blasberg. Other patrons of the arts in attendance included Shaun White, Jeff Koons, Peter Marino, and Christopher Wool.

The GIG is an annual celebration that uplifts creatives who inspire the mission of the Guggenheim. Funding from the gala contributes to the Guggenheim operational funds, which allows the institution to provide cutting-edge exhibitions, educational programs, and support the Guggenheim’s collection of contemporary art.
