The prophetic powers of the tarot card served as inspiration for Dior's ethereal Spring Summer 2021 collection. Presented by Matteo Garrone's enchanting film "Le Chateau Du Tarot," the collection explores the arcane world of 15th century tarot through lavish artisanship.

Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri designed each ensemble to represent different elements of tarot cards — 'le pendu,' or the hanging man, is realised in a lacy sheer-sleeved blouse and pale green jacquard trousers. The slinky, seductive "diable" is enrobed in a gauzy gold gown with a plunging neckline. Meanwhile, "L'Etoile" dons a midnight blue dress with drapy silk sleeves. A color palette of muted jewel tones marry perfectly with the regal setting.

The spellbinding film follows a young woman embarking on a journey of self-discovery. Tuscan Castello di Sammezzano's hallowed halls come to life as tarot characters guide the protagonist through her odyssey. Each look more decadent then the next, Chiuri's collection captures the divine spirit of tarot.
