Where would we be without famous fashion duos? For decades, innovators in the world of fashion have worked alongside their muse to perfectly tailor the tastes of the masses. Don’t believe us? Take Hubert de Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn, for example. In Hepburn’s legendary film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, she sports a now iconic little black dress, designed by none other than the House of Givenchy. Credited with inventing this now renowned garment, Givenchy and Hepburn are proof that fashion is made better in twos.
So when the time came for photographer Chris Colls and model Alexandra Agoston to create a collaborative photography book for American Fashion brand FRAME, the result was pure dynamite. FRAME gave the duo full creative freedom, combining Colls’ unparalleled visual storytelling techniques with Agoston’s effortlessly cool style to create the brand’s third book.
Founded in 2012 by Jens Grede and Erik Torstensson, FRAME has come a long way since its humble beginnings producing hand-crafted denim. Today, the brand offers both ready-to-wear and accessories while remaining committed to sustainable manufacturing practices.
“In an ongoing effort for FRAME to consistently collaborate with the best creatives in our industry, we are proud to present Chris and Alexandra’s first book ‘Paris New York,’” said Torstensson. “Chris and Alexandra are dear, personal friends who have been part of the FRAME family since the very beginning and who truly embody our constant strive for creative collaboration.”
Available starting April 13th in Frame-Store.com and in FRAME stores, Colls captures his muse displayed across the world’s most fashionable cities: Paris and New York. Through alluring images, Colls and Agoston infuse life into FRAME leather, cashmere, and denim. The images are both intimate and emotional, expressing the raw beauty of minimalist fashion photography.
“Thank you Erik and FRAME for giving us the freedom to express our intimate aesthetic in the pages of “Paris New York,” said Colls and Agoston. “This project has allowed us to tell a story and a love affair for a special place that exists between these two cities.”
