Double Takes Galore At No. 21’s FW19 Show
Numero Ventuno’s newest womenswear collection demonstrates that there is more than meets the eye.
No. 21 showcased their FW19 Womenswear collection today at Milan Fashion Week, reinforcing Italian designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s diverse experiences in the industry which allow for a versatility seen through his contrasting visions with Rochas’s luxurious sophistication and No. 21’s contemporary youthfulness.
No. 21’s Spring 2019 ready-to-wear defied first impressions, and the newest collection continued to do so with models turning their backs to reveal unzipped pieces with exposed details while others were clothed in enlarged bows.
The collection opened with a dark camel coat worn off the shoulder and layered over similar tones, nodding to last season’s nearly monotone color play and palette. These make another similar appearance in swatches of black, white, teal, cherry red, and nude colors. The collection’s mixture of textures and materials combine with past treatments of light embellishments and increasingly feminine tailoring.
