Dove Cameron has released “We Go Down Together,” an eerie and emotive ballad where she shines alongside Khalid. The two powerhouse artists’ voices perfectly compliment one another, where they sing about the dark side of the willingness to do anything for the person who you’re in love with.  The song has been released with a music video, which showcases Cameron and Khalid in a tension-fueled and dramatic visual.

I’ve been exploring different sonic palates as I write my debut album and finding new ways to give myself to my fans. This song and accompanying music video are like a little distilled love letter in a bottle. The single marks Cameron’s first of 2023, and could be a tease of the release of her first full length album. 2022 was a massive year for the pop star and actress, specifically due to the massive success of her queer-anthem, “Boyfriend,” alongside her wins for “Best New Artist” at both the VMAs and AMAs. “We Go Down Together” is sure to be a hit that gives a strong kickstart for what is sure to be another huge year for Cameron.
