Dr. Martens has reunited with the British streetwear brand A-COLD-Wall* for their SS23 footwear collaboration that remixes one of Dr. Martens’ most iconic silhouettes– the 1461 Oxford. Inspired by their established design lineage, the two brands are revisiting the style that starred in their AW21 collection.

Designed in collaboration with ACW* founder, Samuel Ross, ACW* and Dr. Martens collections are consistently defined by an architectural severity that reflects the working-class Britain of Ross’s childhood. Through intricate lines, monochromatic starkness and a strong foundation, the two British brands work together to bridge the gap between classic British workwear and subcultural style.

The shoe is appraised with new leather whose unexpected silky softness is a water-resistant, tumbled nubuck material– helping to stay in tune with the classic design and provide functionality. With respect to each other’s aesthetics, the 1461 oxford silhouette embodies Dr. Martens’ signature yellow stitching and AirWear heel loop, accompanied by side panels of the recognizable ACW* branding.
