Dr. Martens Taps Yohji Yamamoto For A 1460 Remastered Collab
The fourth collaboration of the footwear label’s 1460 Remastered series.
Celebrating their 60th anniversary, footwear label Dr. Martens has once again teamed up with legendary Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto for the latest 1460 Remastered collaboration. Crafted from back Smooth Splice leather and disrupted by Yamamoto’s recognizable lasered spider web print, the new 1460 YY Web boot is the ultimate manifestation of Yohji’s admiration for Docs boots and his non-traditional spirit.
The Japanese design legend was the brand’s first-ever collaborator, taking the unisex boots on the runway in the early 00s. In addition to the signature spider web print, the newest iteration features laces that are wound into a decorative antique spider — a one-off creation designed bespoke for the boot. The tongue features Yamamato’s signature embossed into the leather, finished off with yellow stitch detailing and a gold top eyelet.
Priced at $810 a pair, the collab will be available to shop in strictly limited numbers on April 25, 2020 on drmartens.com and select partners.
