Drake Hops on Joe Budden’s IG Live

This time, the two managed to keep their conversation light and friendly.

In an unexpected turn of events, broadcaster and former rapper Joe Budden has invited Drake to be a guest on his IG Live this Sunday night. Previously, the interactions between the two media personalities have been marked by diss-tracks, negative reviews and IG trolling — but this time, the two have kept their conversation light and friendly.

Budden brought up the fact that Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson and B.Dot were granted an interview with the 6 God at “The Embassy” in Drake’s $100 million Toronto mansion featured in the “Toosie Slide” video clip. He pressed Drake on why he hadn’t landed an interview yet, and if he’d been avoiding him. “Never avoid you,” the rapper responded. “I just don’t see you. We’re never in the same place.” “Cause I’m too broke?” Budden followed up. “I didn’t want to say it,” Drake laughed.

Drake eventually promised him an interview “when the album’s ready,” but Budden wasn’t quick to believe that. ”You’ve been saying that for a year, and now I have a whole leaked album with like 30 Drake joints” he joked.

In the meantime, Drake said he will stay in Budden’s IG Live comments. “Why do you troll me this way? Honestly? Like, you don’t think it’s hurtful to me?” Budden asked, to which Drake responded that the comments were always intended to have an “encouraging undertone.”
