Drake Is Going into the Cannabis Biz
The rapper’s latest business endeavors have a bright green future
It appears Drake is hinting he has some major plans on the horizon. On Tuesday, the rapper’s team sent floral bouquets to various media outlets across downtown Toronto. The bouquets were wrapped in mint-colored paper reading “More Life Growth Co.” homaging the title of his 2017 mixtape, More Life.
With little information given, the “Champagne Papi” teased further that night posting a video to his Instagram. The clip displayed the “More Life Growth Co.” logo rotating against a backdrop of biodomes as well as tagging More Life’s company account. Though, the Instagram account is currently private with a bio that reads “coming soon”.
Drake has yet to confirm any details, but in an investigation led by High Snobiety, the publication was able to uncover that More Life Growth Co. had been registered as a business in the Canadian trademark database. The business is registered in the database to sell “Cannabis products and accessories, medical cannabis, THC and CBD” as well as branded merchandise. With the legalization of recreational marijuana passed for Canada in 2018, it seems Drake is breaking into the business back home.
