Basic girls and boys, our golden era may be upon us. Our choice cozy footwear, the ever-iconic Ugg boot, will now be available in thigh-high form thanks to Y/Project. The rising fashion brand debuted their innovative take on the Ugg boot on the runway during their show at Paris Fashion Week Men's today, in what is the latest in a saga of high-fashion designers putting their signature touch on shoes often considered ugly.

“Putting on Uggs is like putting your foot in a warm pot of butter, and I thought why not elevate that and immerse your full legs!” Y/Project creative director Glenn Martens said in a statement. “So we decided to design an Ugg boot that climbs up to the crotch and covers the whole leg.” Even a blanket couldn't keep you warmer.

The designer debuted three styles of the new thigh-high boots during the show, including a black pair with torn-up shearling bands and the classic Ugg shade of tan exaggerated to baggy dimensions for maximum coziness. While there's no word yet on the expected street date and pricing, given Y/Project's typical price points, don't expect this luxury staple for cheap. But considering that these boots would give your airport look a distinct edge, it just may be worth every penny.
