Though “pink, pleated, and trimmed in lace” may not be the most conventional boxer description, Drumaq’s Snow’s Pond rewrites the rules of underwear with the launch of its second drop.

Between the social media feeds of Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify, queer LA-based creative Drumaq is likely a familiar face to your scroll. With over 8 years of experience working in the music industry as an artist & songwriter, Dru MacDonald’s creative influence is expansive, becoming a trusted name among fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands. In his most recent role as founder of the genderless boxer brand Snow’s Pond, Dru redefines intimate essentials, drawing inspiration from his youth.

Having grown up on the island of Newfoundland, the brand reflects Dru’s nostalgia for Canadian summers—”the textures, colors, and patterns are all reminiscent of my childhood,” he shares.

Following Snow’s Pond’s debut drop last November, the second drop, “Grandma’s Favorite,” comprises three new pairs of 100% cotton boxers. Panels of soft powdery patterns and lace trim finishings—the collection recalls quilts handmade by Dru’s own grandma.

“Pulling from real people, places, and moments in my childhood will always be what inspires my drops,” Dru says. “My Grandma made quilts for each of her grandchildren when they graduated, so this one feels close to home. I even used her quilt in the shoot for this drop. It makes everything feel connected and extra special to me.”

With photography by Anthony Nguyen, the campaign visuals capture the playful freedom of boyhood, girlhood, and childhood entirely. As a genderless brand, the capsule reconstructs the conventionally masculine boxer into something fluid and universal. Dreamy pink pastels filter the collection, while bunnies, feathers, teddy bears, pageant accessories, and uneaten bowls of cereal curate the homey summertime aesthetic.

“I can’t stop wearing pink… this summer just feels pink to me,” says Dru. “I wanted to lead with that. All pink everything. It’s playful, it’s the perfect balance of feminine & masculine, and I’m obsessed.”
