Camper chic, ’70s glam, and Western wear have almost nothing in common — but somehow Dsquared2 presented all of this and more at its Fall/Winter 2025 show during Milan Fashion Week. Founders and twins Dean and Dan Caten brought out all the stops, paying homage to nearly every chapter of the Dsquared2 brand to commemorate 30 years of their Canada-born, Italian-based brand.

To kick the Dsquared2 festivities off, newly minted Grammy winner Doechii entered from a tank full of dollar bills, rocking a full-fledged Y2K-inspired ensemble with outdoorsy details and a typical Dsquared2 fur trim jacket falling off her shoulders. The self-proclaimed swamp princess walked to her own lead single, “Nissan Ultima,” from her Grammy Award-winning album Alligator Bites Never Heal, and returned again at the end of the show for another performance of “Alter Ego” with collaborator JT — bringing the energy of a fashion week afterparty onto the runway. 

Amelia Gray, Alex Consani, and NLE Choppa also graced Dsquared2’s runway. Continuing to reflect on fashion history, Gray modeled a clear reinterpretation of Cher’s 1974 Met Gala dress designed by Bob Mackie. Consani, famous of her past runway moments with Dsquared2 and her recent Model of the Year win, wore a stomach-revealing ensemble with a black fur stole and campy black cowboy hat. NLE Choppa’s opted to showcase his tattooed torso, as well as a juxtaposition of the cargo, denim, and fur textiles seen throughout the collection.

Dsquared2 pulled out all the stops with this collection — the brand unveiled five new collaborations with Magliano, Vaquera, Bettter, Ducati, and Kiss to celebrate 30 years. The show also was a tribute to model and style icon Julie Enfield, who played a key role in Dean and Dan’s rise to fame.

In what would seem like the show’s close, Naomi Campbell came soaring out onto the runway as a force to be reckoned with, seemingly ending the show with a bang. However, when Dean and Dan walked out for their bow, they were seemingly arrested — by legendary model and actress Brigitte Nielsen. When Dean and Dan broke free from their handcuffs, Doechii and JT came out to perform, and the stage broke out into dance and celebration.

This wasn’t the first kudos that Campbell got — Doechii’s entrance was a recreation of the way Campbell ran out on the Dsquared2 runway for the Fall/Winter 2003 show. With each look or iconic moment serving as a timestamp in Dsquared2’s journey as a brand, the Fall/Winter 2025 show is a signifier of one chapter closing, and a new vision for the brand just beginning.
