For spring and summer, the Dsquared2 launches two capsule collections as both are dissimilar yet iconic in coolness as the classic masculine styles are trending today. The first, a dedication to Bob Marley combining colorful island wear and street style, and the second, a riveting collection with Honda highlighting their staple biker jacket introduced in the counterculture era.

Bob Marley Foundation For Dsquared2

As a part of the Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Dsquared2 teamed up with the Bob Marley Foundation to design a selection of graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts, denim labels, and bags with printed portraits and quotes of the musician. Not only is the collection inspired by Marley’s music and enticing style and bravado, but the expansiveness of his tranquil cool energy and spirit. The Rastafarian rock star shared the Jamaican culture with the world but also his open and wise mind. 

A recurring black and white portrait of Marley smiling is seen on t-shirts and sweatshirts but the key item in this collection is the portrait on a white long strap leather tote with the other side featuring his quote in the typography of his writing style–“The most intelligent people is the poorest people. Yes, the thief them rich, pure robbers and thieves, rich! The intelligent and the innocent are poor, are crumbled, and get brutalized. Daily.” The t-shirt and tank top of this print is available in green, orange, black, and white. Of course, this collection would not do Marley right without the inclusion of the Jamaican colors of red, green, and yellow as the colors are drawn on a color portrait of the singer with “Dsquared2” written over in black. 

Another quote from Bob Marley that can be used as a daily mantra, “My home is in my head,” is illustrated with hibiscus flowers and a forward-faced portrait of Marley printed on a hoodie and t-shirt. Honda x Dsquared2

Dsquared2 recently launched its capsule collection with Honda and its motorcycle market. The collection consists of classic biker wear along with Honda’s signature wing logo in red and white coupled with stripes along sleeves, pants, and baseball caps. The jackets are outerwear statement pieces with logos and stripes with the hard-to-miss Honda red wings and bands with repeating colors of white and green and white and blue. The jacket is designed in variations with a denim canvas and leather sleeves, brown and black blazers with leather sleeves, all cream and black leather jackets with diagonal zippers, and the impeccably worn tan suede jacket with diagonal zippers and the same Honda and DSQ2 lettering on each sleeve. 

Other pieces in this collection include tank tops, t-shirts, hoodies, and a black jersey top with leather sleeves that can either be dressed down or elevate a night-out streetwear look. With Dsquared2’s signature denim, whether it be the denim zipped jacket or denim pants with leather patchwork, all designs are cut with blue stretch denim with a vintage wash or black bull denim. 

The Dsqaured2 X Honda capsule collection is stylish biker wear as it is masculine in its connection to jumping on a motorcycle and taking on the open road, it can also purely be a classic fashion statement piece to level up your closet or merely be stolen by a girlfriend (as I know I would) without ever having to touch the throttle control grip.
