Grammy-nominated, eclectic R&B singer Gallant and alternative pop princess Dua Lipa are two of the hottest, up-and-coming names in music, so when the two got together to cover an Amy Winehouse classic, musical magic ensued.

Dua Lipa stopped by Gallant's "In the Room," his digital series in which he invites artists like John Legend, Sufjan Stevens, and others to the studio to record a cover. To honor the late Amy Winehouse, the singers chose to transform her Back to Black hit "Tears Dry On Their Own," releasing the rendition on her birthday, Sept. 14.

In the just-released clip, the two singers alternate verses, playing off each other charismatically as their soulful voices lend well to a powerful, emotive cover. While Gallant finds himself in a passionate groove and Lipa wraps the lyrics up in her strong sound, their duet amalgamates into the perfect tribute for the lost legend by as they stay true to her signature bluesy croon.

Following the performance in the latest "In the Room" episode, the video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the collaborative effort, showing Gallant and Lipa first meeting and taking to the microphones.
