Our former V113 cover star, Dua Lipa, debuts her 2019 discography with the anticipated release of her song and video titled “Swan Song”, part of the soundtrack for the forthcoming film, ‘Alita: Battle Angel’, which comes out on February 14th.

Floria Sigismondi, the female director behind the video shows graphic glimpses of Lipa within the boundaries of the Iron City at the center of Alita. This video shows Lipa in a new light, showing off a bit of her acting chops. Figuratively, the video serves as a peek into her passage of self-discovery, where she finds her courageousness and natural power.

The newly released “Swan Song” is co-written by Lipa and Justin Tranter, Kennedi Lykken, Mattias Larsson, Robin Fredriksson, and Tom Holkenborg. It’s a strong follow-up to the monumental year that Lipa had, making her up to be the most streamed female artist in the world on Spotify. Talk about best emerging artist… Her preceding track, “One Kiss” with Calvin Harris was a smashing hit being the largest selling UK single last year. To expand on her great success, Lipa is also in the spotlight for her two Grammys nominations.
