London-based designer Peter Dundas and Revolve joined forces for an electric New York Fashion Week drop. Dundas x Revolve launched on Wednesday at Casa Cipriani with a see-now-buy-now lineup of 46 runway looks and also marked the designer’s first showing at NYFW.

The cast included models Imaan Hammam, Soo Joo Park, Stella Maxwell, and Cynthia Arrebola, who walked on an outdoor mirror structure overlooking the East River to early-2000s-like electronic beats. The natural wind blowing their hair added an extra glamorous feel to the occasion.

The official campaign stars Emily Ratajkowski, who was photographed by Inez & Vinoodh in some of the collection’s boldest pieces. 

The ready-to-wear capsule was inspired by rock music and Americana aesthetics – Dundas has described some looks as a sort of “Buffalo punk” –, with pieces embroidered with crystals forming a western bandana motif, and ‘80s-inspired silhouettes combined with bold colors, patterns, and textures.

Boxy shoulder-padded tops and dresses featuring a cheetah print give a maximalist Dynasty energy to the collection, along with the wide hot pink pantsuit and the shimmery black mini dress. The rockstar vibe is channeled through leather pieces like blazers, shorts, and jackets, along with a fluffy black-and-white faux fur coat and a purple patterned bodysuit.

Other pieces evoke an even sexier side, with cut-out maxi dresses balanced with tight mini dresses featuring see-through panels and even a full lace catsuit. A highlight is the slim cut-out black dress featuring a single sleeve, side seam slit, and chain details, resulting in a provocative design that is reminiscent of some of the Versace pieces some actresses favored on red carpets in the ‘90s. 

The collection also features bold necklaces, earrings, and bracelets in gold and silver colorways. For shoes, there are heel options and western-inspired boots, including an over-the-knee leather boot, all decorated with bulky chains.  

According to the brands, this is the “first of multiple drops to come,” so keep an eye out for their future offerings. The first Dundas x Revolve collection is available on Revolve.com.
