Eccentric and Alluring: Acne Studios FW22 Distortion Bag by Keisuke Otobe
Acne Studios latest campaign utilizes art photographer Keisuke Otobe’s signature technique of physical manipulation.
Conceptualized by art photographer Keisuke Otobe in a series of distorted still life images and videos, this season’s Distortion Bag promotes a bizarre yet modernized essence. Utilizing his signature technique of physical manipulation, flatbed scanning, and scratching images to distort the subject, Otobe reimagines the bag in thoughtful hues and shapes. In addition to its existing two sizes – sharp, slanted angles, fold-over front flap, and top handle – the newly updated Distortion Bag appears in a micro shoulder.
Keisuke Otobe is a Milan based – Tokyo-born artist – whose alluring images take the role of a visual hallmark, encouraging thought and expansive creativity in all viewers. He studied photography in Florence at the Fondazione Studio Marangoni, then relocated to Milan, where he vitalized his position as an assistant for some of the world’s most prominent fashion photographers. Today he works primarily as a freelance photographer.
As of September 1st, the full range is available in all Acne Studios stores and online in calf leather, hairy cow printed leather, and Croco patent printed leather.
