A weekend of festivities served as the official launch of EDITION Hotel’s two-week poolside residency at El Silencio situated within a secluded cove off the west coast of Ibiza. While the pop-up brings the luxury and locale-specific curation of EDITION Hotels, Silencio’s history of cultural and artistic collaboration traces back to its first location in Paris designed by David Lynch. The partnership—and the weekend’s celebration—created an environment for cultivating deeper creative connections.

The event commenced on Friday, August 15 with an exclusive launch party. Signature cocktails from various EDITION Hotel locations, including Barcelona, Rome and Madrid, were offered throughout the night with DJ sets by Marco Llorente and Agathe Mougin. Iconic club and street photographer, Derek Ridgers, was in attendance and signing a co-branded edition of his book, KU, Ibiza 1984, in collaboration with EDITION. The published collection of photographs captures the legendary nightclub in Ibiza from decades past offering a significant, party-filled throughline between the past and present. 

An intimate dinner was held that night at Urusai, El Silencio’s restaurant, bringing together 20 tastemakers for creative connection. The celebrations continued on Saturday, August 16 with a poolside lunch for 45 guests featuring musical performances and eco-catamaran excursions. 

Some of the artists and creatives in attendance included Romy Madley Croft of The xx, Luke Day of Man About Town and Ben Barna of Interview. Other notable attendees included Lux Pascal, Lennon Gallagher and Liam Aldous. While the weekend celebration has wrapped up, the Summer EDITION pop-up continues through August 31.
