Emporio Armani is hitting the streets of New York this summer with a new flagship store opening up on 134 Spring Street. The Armani group is returning to its roots, having opened the doors of its former West Broadway location back in 2000, setting their sights on Soho as the perfect locale for the store’s return to the city, with an area that embraces creativity and artistic expression.

The flagship store centers itself around the architecture of the twentieth-century classic New York-style building. The street-facing store maintains the original brick walls, exposed metal ceilings, cast-iron columns with capitals, and authentic dark oak floors. The dedication to preserving these elements shows the brand’s love and respect for the city and its history, giving the store a true urbanite feel. From the sidewalk, you can view the classic trompe l’oeil eagle design, a beacon signaling the store’s longevity and tradition. The 420 square meter store is doused with natural light from the long skyline at the back of the store.

The collections will be physically set in the center of the space for the first time. The setting will come to life with multifaceted features that bring the clothing to life, as lighting and high-impact thematic sets will be interchanged to create intriguing and dynamic displays. Simple accents like the ceiling-hung hangers or the sleek black metal shelving contribute to the store’s sophisticated minimalism.

Shoppers will have access to the latest in Emporio Armani’s women’s and men’s clothing and accessories, with eyewear, watches, and jewelry also being available at this location. Keeping with the celebration of the retail return of Emporio Armani, this store will exclusively sell its 90s-inspired collection. The line includes a variety of garments for men and women including a dinner jacket, coat, a contemporary rendition of the Prince of Wales suit, cocktail dresses adorned with sequins, and shoulder-padded suits.

New York City was a great influence in the Autumn/Winter 2023/24 advertising campaign which captured the Manhattan skyline in the backdrop, as the new store helps culminate a touching tribute to the brand’s Big Apple inspiration and legacy.
