Enfants Riches Déprimés Showcases Latest Collection With Fashion Film “Xeropiturra”

Discover the new Fall/Winter 2021 lineup.

Enfants Riches Déprimés unveils its Fall/Winter 2021 via visual endeavor “Xeropiturra”. The collection was styled by Arianne Phillips and the film features Zoe Bleu Arquette and Dylan Saje McKay. Cue Courtney Love’s instantly recognizable raspy voice narrating a special introduction, the video unravels into an avalanche of emotions synced to an equally tumultuous soundscape.

Muted tones take the shape of wool pinstripe blazers and trousers, dark winter coats and layerings, sweaters printed with brand’s moniker, and phrases such as “Ça suffit” enough is enough. Bordeaux red and bright green offer splashed of color through a heavy-duty raincoat or an A-line dress paired with monochrome leather gloves and thigh-high boots. A lineup that stays true to its’ blasé-chic MO.

The collections plays out against a frigid landscape wrapped in a blanket of snow, with intermittent clips of what appears to be in a church-like inflatable fortress. This fashion film feels like an embodiment of frustration, wading through a surge of emotions felt by a generation that has witnessed so much in such a short amount of time.

Henri Alexander Levy, the brand’s designer, has a knack for capturing angst, a forte previously showcased with his Spring/Summer 2021 collection and accompanying video.
