Etro Brings Every Bit Of The Season With Fall/Winter 2022/23 Collection
The prevalence of patterns, symmetry, and their segmentation existence was the focal point of Etro’s new Fall/Winter 2022/23 Collection.
Etro made its Men’s Fashion Week debut in Milan this past weekend with its new Fall/Winter 2022/23 Ready-To-Wear Collection. Kean Etro showcased the contemporary collection, featuring earthy tones reminiscent of the time of year, with pop-ups of vivid hues to offset its palette. Burnt orange, blues, seaweed greens, gargoyle grays, indigos, and rosso corsa reflected the intricate runway floor, symbolizing a floral-like mosaic, also identifiable on some of the collection’s pieces.
Patterns took hold of the assemblage. Their formulations? Snowflakes, foxes, leaves, roses, and more. The brand attributes these designs to the lucidity within their visual cadence, apparent through the clothing’s embroidery and frequency. This motif also translated to the models’ direction as they followed a specific pathway indicative of the collection’s focus on the continuum and its worldly overlay. It conveyed singularity through variation, each article expressing a distinctive nature yet not becoming lost in translation.
This artistic direction correlates with Etro’s earlier collections, surrounding idiosyncratic uniformity. Its Fall/Winter 2021 womenswear and Spring 2022 menswear collections saw similar ornamentation through the lens of bohemian chic, Etro’s signature. Though, each garment across seasons brings a cutting-edge vision distinguished from the next without separating itself from the brand’s foundation as told by Kean Etro himself: “[the] love for the Italian culture as an expression of local crafts and dialectical craftsmanship.”
