Fabergé is Setting Sail With Regent Seven Seas Cruises
The leaders in luxury have collaborated to create two Spotlight Voyages in celebration of the hand-crafted Journey in Jewels Fabergé egg
For those looking to immerse themselves in the most opulent experience available on the sea, leaders in luxury Regent Seven Seas Cruises – home of the world’s most luxurious fleet – and iconic artist jeweler Fabergé have collaborated to create two new 10-night Spotlight Voyages in celebration of the bespoke, hand-crafted Journey in Jewels egg – the first Fabergé egg to reside permanently at sea. Both voyages of the Seven Seas Grandeur Ship will offer travelers facilities and experiences rivaled by none, as the Seven Seas Splendor’s will set sail through Northern Europe and the Seven Seas Grandeur will travel around the Mediterranean.
“We are delighted to be able to join Regent aboard their beautiful ships and are very much looking forward to showcasing some of the most enthralling details from Fabergé’s story,” said Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell, Creative Director at Fabergé. “We have put together a captivating program, which will offer unique behind the scenes insights into the art of bespoke jewelry design, Fabergé’s cultured history and royal connections, and also showcase a selection of treasures from our current collections.”
Guests will be immersed in the grandeur of the world of Fabergé amongst the special sailings, offering master-class programs, exclusive access to shore-side tours, lectures, screenings and jeweled egg demonstrations, all defining the experience as the pinnacle of splendor. The history of Fabergé will also be incorporated into the guests’ experiences through masterclasses covering the process of creation and the house’s signature enamel process, pop-up boutiques and the opportunity to commission unique pieces from Fabergé. Aboard the Seven Seas Splendor, Fabergé’s Curatorial Director and member of the Fabergé Heritage Council Archduke D. Géza von Habsburg will host, and aboard the Seven Seas Grandeur Sarah Fabergé, great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Fabergé and Director of Special Projects at Fabergé, will host as the ship cruises through Italy, Malta, Spain, Mallorca, France and Monte Carlo.
Prior to setting sail from London, those embarking on the Seven Seas Splendor have the opportunity to explore and experience London through an exclusive pre-cruise program that immerses travelers into the world of Fabergé, welcomed by Creative Director, Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell. Visits to Harrods, an exclusive meal in Mayfair, the opportunity to handle loose gemstones from the house and a private tour of Westminster Abbey led by Lady Penny Mountbatten are just a few of the highlights.
“We pride ourselves on offering our guests immersive and culturally enlightening itineraries as well as enriching onboard programming,” said Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “We are excited to reveal details about our first of two Spotlight on Fabergé sailings, inspired by the allure of the world-renowned Fabergé Maison. Guests will uncover the rich culture and history of the revered brand, enjoying an unforgettable, unrivaled experience that they know to expect from Regent.”
