Farfetch and Dr. Barbara Sturm Celebrate “Abstraction & Aesthetics” Coinciding with Frieze New York

Exclusive photography from the partnership is on display at the Philippe Labaune Gallery

New York City, art, science, luxury skincare, and e-commerce all wrapped up in one immersive, must-see experience? Sounds like a dream if you ask us.

Well, that wish has become reality as luxury retailer Farfetch has teamed up with skincare guru Dr. Barbara Sturm for a collaborative series of photos exploring the intersection of art and science. The partnership is part of Farfetch Beauty—the retailer’s latest addition to its e-commerce platform that includes skincare, makeup, fragrance, and more—and celebrates the duo’s longstanding partnership.

Open to the public for one day only, the exhibition coincides with Frieze New York: a multi-day art fair that features a dynamic selection of works from acclaimed contemporary artists and established figures. This year, the event will conclude on May 22nd and will include over 65 galleries at The Shed in Hudson Yards as well as a handful of other satellite galleries.

Featuring Dr. Sturm and Aweng Chuol, “Abstraction & Aesthetics” dives into the scientific aspects of the brand, exploring the intersection of the body and the skin itself. In specific, the series of images highlights Sturm’s signature anti-inflammatory and science-led approach to skincare that she has become so renowned for.

See “Abstraction & Aesthetics” on May 19th only at the Philippe Labaune Gallery.
