For Fendi’s latest campaign, Kim Jones’ inspiration was directly drawn from Italian designer Delfina Delettrez Fendi with Jones saying, “There’s a chicness but a perversity to the way she twists FENDI, which is what I love.” With this latest collection, the creative director aims to flip the gender binary on its head, experimenting with classicism and elegance with the campaign combining sophistication and everyday wear.

The FENDI collection remains edgier than ever. The refined quality of the garments are met with an alluring perversity as sweaters are adorned with slashes and slight warping. Throughout the collection, there is subversion of the masculine and feminine with elements of blue collar influences with boilersuits, aprons, and uniforms. Nostalgia glimmers throughout the campaign with graphic motifs from the 1996 Autumn/Winter collection making their return. However, where there is old, there is also new as FENDI introduces their newest FENDI Origami handbag.

Punk, and poised are the two words that accurately describe the upcoming FENDI Autumn/Winter campaign. Jones provides a newness to the brand that only makes people excited for more.
