FENDI Opens New York City Flagship Store

FENDI’s new flagship brings the history and luxury of Italy to New York City.

This month FENDI opened a flagship store in New York City on the corner of 57th street in Manhattan’s Fuller Building.

Originally designed for art galleries, the building has been reimagined by artistic directors Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi.

The new boutique brings the luxury of Italy to New York. The flagship spans more than 6,900 square feet. Six see-through curtains project images of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, FENDI’s headquarters in Rome. The windows are inspired by FENDI signatures, transforming the old into the new.

As guests enter, they are immediately greeted with a reflective sphere suspended at the center of the ceiling. Women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, accessories and leather goods are presented across two levels. Collections such as Jones’ debut Fall/Winter 21-22 collection are on display. On the second floor the first FENDI bag has been realized entirely in marble sculpture. Two sculptures — both signed by Venturini Fendi and Jones — of different sizes sit side to side with the FENDI First bags.

The interior highlights FENDI’s duality as a brand. Arabescato Vagli marble brings the architecture of Roman churches to New York. Industrial cement columns and beams meet luxurious touches of marble, brass and steel meet pink, plush carpeting.

Whispered luxury is expressed in each fitting room. Each room contains a fur bench, carpeting, metal ceilings and precious pink,  green and white marble walls.

On July 21, FENDI will offer a 360 virtual tour for guests on FENDI.com to experience the design of the new flagship where they can shop the new boutique from any location.
