Nick Knight captures the intimate, boundless essence of Fendi in the Italian Maison’s new Spring/Summer 2021 campaign, shot in London by the British, fashion photographer.

Looks from the women’s and men’s Spring Summer ‘21 collection designed by Silvia Venturini are juxtaposed against Knight’s dynamic and wondrous landscape shots, exploring the relationship between object and viewer, capturing the outside looking in and the inside looking out. 

With cool cream and blue hues, the intimacy of the setting is underlined by an airy atmosphere, complementing the inspirations of the collection itself. Sheer white curtains billow with a breeze, while crisp reflections and human shadows are depicted against the domesticity of the London studio, complete with chairs and a wooden bed. 

Bright, vivid bursts of Fendi color from the collections are highlighted against the digital “window” trailing across the wall, evoking the blue skies of Rome’s Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, headquarters of Fendi. Moments of bright crimson, fresh white and powder blue set the tone for the color palette of the womenswear and menswear, while natural shades of wheat, milk and honey compose the backdrop on which a dynamic cast of models (including Mariacarla Boscono, Jill Kortleve, Estelle Chen, Henry Kitcher and Chun Soot) show the detailed craftsmanship of each garment, drawing the eye to the personal, intimate story each piece tells.

The looks are also adorned with iconic bags from Fendi: the PeekabooISeeU is accessorized with the Fendi x Chaos tech accessories, while the Baguette for women and Peekaboo Essential for men grace the scene alongside modern new shapes like the Moonlight satchel bag.
