After 25 years, the Mamma Baguette bag returns refreshed in a transformative contemporary design in FENDI’s Spring-Summer 2025 runway collection.

Like mother, like daughter, the Mamma Baguette takes its style from its predecessor, but as the names suggest, daughter, the Baguette bag. Designed in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the historically honored shape is simple yet so recognizable: a soft rectangular bodice with an enveloping flap and the iconic FF logo buckle to meet the base for its closure.

Today, we see the icon reborn in plush nappa leather of buttery spring tones, pale pink, sage, and matcha green, decorated with floral embroideries, or the luxurious classic black python version. The bag is now revised with a drawstring closure, and the traditional FF logo is updated to feature leather, paying homage to Maison’s intrinsic leather goods legacy. The Mamma Baguette bag is thoughtfully practical in design, with three sizes available: Small, Medium, and Large.

The Baguette has been slung over the shoulders of the most renowned and stylistically inspiring fashion gurus—Sarah Jessica Parker, Paris Hilton, and Kate Moss, to name a few—accordingly, it only makes sense that the Mamma iteration makes a comeback.

It’s a design that considers versatility, wearability, and comfort, creating a spacious purse that is not only chic but fashionably functional as a carry-all for daytime shopping trips or late nights when all the essentials are abundant. The Mamma Baguette is culturally tasteful; a timeless bag that, even in re-design, is undyingly dependable and beloved.

The FENDI Mamma Baguette bag will be available in select FENDI boutiques worldwide and at FENDI.com in February 2025.
