Ferragamo Releases Their Autumn/Winter 2021 Campaign, “A Future Together”

Ferragamo releases their new, futuristic campaign short film “A Future Together”, directed by Wim Wenders.

Salvatore Ferragamo announced that Wim Wenders, filmmaker and three-time Academy Award nominee, is the director of their film advertising their Autumn/Winter 2021 collection, “A Future Together”.

“A Future Together” is  a post-modern, multi-dimensional reflection of potential futures. Shot in Milan’s CityLife complex, the story follows a casting director (played by movie star Gaia Grace) who is casting a heavily costumed sci-fi film. She works alongside a sound engineer (played by musician and model Felix Sandman). The futuristic narrative and the casting director’s personal story intertwine in the course of the film, making it a “tale within a tale”.

Wender’s film brings to life futuristic and technologically advanced concepts within Ferragamo’s new collection. Wender’s film emphasizes the luxurious and provocative by Ferragamo within his thought-provoking and optimistic direction.

“Developing a positive, energetic story inside the framework of a futuristic setting is a challenge at a time when the future is generally regarded as bleak and dystopian,” Wender said. “But sometimes, when the cards are stacked up against you and you have to fight many obstacles, the result can achieve an extra aura of beauty. This was definitely the case at our Ferragamo shoot.

This campaign and collection looks to the future. It was created for those who are determined to shape their destinies.

“The collection, when it was finally revealed and worn by the actors, turned out more radiant and spectacular than in our wildest dreams,” Wender said. “All we had to do as a film team was to capture that sudden explosion of glorious beauty in front of us.”
