Festival Season Meets Stormy England for Burberry’s Summer 2026 Collection

Daniel Lee threads Britain’s music legacy through the collection, reviving the house’s classic tailoring and saturating the iconic check

Putting on the brits—for Summer 2026, Burberry translates the language of fashion and music into one. Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee blends his British roots with the spirit of the two cultural shapeshifters, remixing a season steeped in the diverse creativity of the UK music scene. “From festivals and stadiums to open-air concerts, every summer the UK comes to life with style and sound,” says Lee.

The presence of England’s most influential musicians lingered both on and off the runway. Elton John and Olivia Dean shared the front row alongside Central Cee and Raye, while the late Ozzy Osbourne’s Black Sabbath underscored the collection. The energy of music’s icons resonated not only in the room, but in the very threads of the collection. The British soundscape translates to skinny silhouettes, eclectically colored tartans, and many, many weatherproof trench coats.

“Musicians have always been pioneers—fearless in the way they dress and sound,” adds Lee. “A legacy you’ll see in the looks, cast, and styling.”

The set itself transported the starry audience into the UK’s muddy festival grounds—and the models dressed for the occasion. Tops and skirts made entirely from beads, long, covering coats that shield the wearer’s barely there inner layer, and slouchy bags swaying with blades of fringe. Saturated purples, turquoise, greens, and pinks dominate the collection’s color palette, though a wash of England’s familiar cloudy blues and greys drifts in, softening the season’s vibrancy.

House archetypes made their return while Lee channels Burberry’s classic tailoring—the classic three-button and matching double-breasted jackets in wool and denim paired with pinstriped cotton poplin shirts, check silk twill ties, and slim-leg trousers.
