FKA TWIGS TEASES NEW ALBUM

The British born singer teases new music in a series of social media post.

FKA Twigs released her debut studio album LP1 back in 2014, and since then, she’s solidified her cool-girl status with campaigns for Apple, Nike, regular appearances at the Met Gala, and sitting front row at fashion weeks. In 2015, Twigs released the EP M3LL155X and in 2016 the stand alone single “Good to Love”. Is FKA Twigs about to release a follow up studio album? Her fandom thinks so.

Twigs took to twitter this weekend for the first time in months with a post announcing a string of tour dates. She also shared a new portrait across social media that’s reminiscent of the artwork used for both LP1 and M3LL155X, and this sent speculation into overdrive. Hardcore fans even received portraits via post along with the cryptic message “You are one of my more loyal supporters, so I wanted to write to you directly to let you know – it’s time.”

What can we expect from the new music? The former V Magazine cover star is known for her aesthetic, so strong visuals/looks are guaranteed, considering that her last release was three years ago a new musical direction is a given. It’s rumored that her new single will be called “Cellophane”. In anticipation of the new song we revisit one of Twigs best tracks to date, ‘Glass and Patron’.
