Flowerovlove Embraces Girlhood with Coachtopia

The London-born singer stars in new content that celebrates creativity and whimsy
Right as a new season begins to kick in, rising music force Flowerovlove and Coachtopia by Coach paint a portrait of girlhood for fall. Attaching charms to leather purses, heads bent together in conversation, the sounds of laughter fill the air while Flowerovlove’s new song, ‘Girls Will be Girls,’ plays in the background. The scene presented is a stoop sale, reflecting the circularity that takes a central role in Coachtopia, as the musician totes around the new Coachtopia alter/ego bag—but what’s inside? “Lip gloss, pepper spray, comb for my hair, keys, and my wired headphones,” she explains to V.

With her debut album, Mini Skirt Warrior, coming soon, the singer continues to build the world in which her albums exist. Her music has a dreamy effect, a celebration of the inner child. It’s a dream world in which no person is too old to have fun. In Coachtopia, this fairytale expands. In the visuals captured by photographer Tyrell Hampton, Flowerovlove connects with friends while discovering the Coachtopia alter/ego bag, which can be customized for an experience both social and creative. Going a layer deeper, the singer’s personal style bears a similar sense of confidence, which she believes makes the outfit. “I don’t always think it’s about the outfit. To be honest with you, I think it’s about your aura and your energy,” she explains. “It’s about how you wear the outfit. You can wear anything and make it feel special…people can feel that energy radiating.”

Through this connection between Flowerovlove and Coach feels like second nature. “I feel like it’s very ‘girlhood’ to make a journal, stick things together, and collage. I like to believe my life is a collage. So to have that in a bag felt very special,” she explains. The Coachtopia brand builds upon the values that Flowerovlove has integrated into her own brand. It repurposes items to reduce waste and encourage circularity, an environmentally conscious pursuit. The singer’s stage name, “flower of love,” comes from a similar idea of circularity. She notes that the life cycle of a flower matches the strength and rebirth that many women experience. “We always pick ourselves back up,” she notes.
