Fotini in Houston
Romance, luxury, and beauty graced the runway as Fotini presented her Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Fashion Houston 2012 on November 13th.
Coming from a Greek and Egyptian background has made it easy for Fotini to draw inspiration for her designs. She initially began a career in business, but after traveling abroad and studying corsetry, she followed her true passion and has been successful in the world of fashion. Taking inspiration from her half-Greek roots, Fotini created a light and ethereal collection fit to bring out the Greek Goddess in every woman.
White, cream, and light blue chiffons and silks made for an angelic, yet sexy collection. One floral print in particular, used in three of the looks, was a huge crowd-pleaser. The colors and intricate details felt reminiscent of French painters Renoir and Mary Cassatt.
The last look was a showstopping strapless wedding dress, which combined a slim fit with the classic princess ball-gown shape, true to Fotini’s aesthetic, which believes in maintaining the feminine silhouette.
