Fred Perry x Raf Simons Collaboration
Raf Simmons explores the culture and fashion of Northern England’s soul scene

Inspired by the energetic youth and freedom of Northern England, Raf Simmons introduces a new collaboration with Fred Perry. Using references to the soul scene and multiculturalism in England, the Belgain designer reimagines the polos and tees of Fred Perry with his own twist.
The collection focuses on the fashion and culture of Northern England, making reference to bands such as New Order and Joy Division using artwork from Peter Saville, the art director who designed the bands’ iconic album covers. Simmons was inspired by what happens when fashion and music intertwine and the community that evolves from it.
Simmons creates imagery and references labels, artists, and song titles using light pink embroidery paired with blue and white patches on a black color palette. The collection includes polo shirt. Outerwear is a vital part of the collection, with a boxy Harrington jacket and unlined blazer, featuring graphics and patches on the chest. For a unique collector’s item, opt for the parka jacket with a drawcord waist and graphic patches on the back designed specifically for this collection.
The collection will be launching on August 11th on Fredperry.com and selected shops.
