New Balance has released its second collaboration with GANNI, offering three sneakers in the New Balance 1906R and the RC30 styles, inspired by early 2000s running shoes. In shades of black and bumblebee yellow, the shoes are a playful yet sporty nod to the two brands’ commitment to creativity and pushing boundaries.

Following a previously successful GANNI x New Balance collaboration, the powerhouse brands have been building anticipation as fashion lovers waited for the new release. The result is a distinctly Scandinavian and cool triad of funky and bold sneakers. As part of the release, GANNI x New Balance has released a set of lighthearted and whimsical illustrations by Brooklyn-based New York Times cartoonist Suerynn Lee.

The colorful and fun vibe of the sneakers is reflective of the brands’ collective creativity. “We are so hyped to be launching our second collaboration with the New Balance team. Honestly, we have had so much fun working on this, there is such a creative synergy between us and a lot of mutual respect for what we both bring to the table,” Ditte Reffstrup, GANNI’s Creative Director said. “Collaboration is such a source of energy for me, I love working with people and finding new creative heights together. I can’t wait to go dancing in these!”

The collection has already encouraged plenty of dancing, as GANNI x New Balance hosted a CPHFW closing party at the Apollo Bar complete with musical performances by Adidaddi and Are We On Air’s Arman Naféei.
