Gap has teamed up with LA-based brand, Cult Gaia, for a women’s and children’s collection of reimagined Gap classics—with a Cult Gaia spin. Launched today on gap.com and in select stores, the 35-piece collection will feature “a range of statement pieces that infuse Gap’s most loved essentials with Cult Gaia’s modern, sculptural influence, celebrating the beauty and strength of women and original style,” in a statement from the brand.

Founded in 2012, Cult Gaia has long placed an emphasis on its pieces being artistic productions based in functionality, something that Gap, who is known for comfortable, everyday wear, knows all too well. With items ranging from $35-$500, the collection includes “holiday-ready styles”, such as the Vegan Fur Coat ($328), Leather Pants ($498) and accompanying Jacket ($498).

The easily recognizable Gap arch logo has been replaced with “GAIA” on a sweatshirt ($78) and baseball cap ($35), as recognition of the brands’ partnership. “This collection with Cult Gaia is a beautiful reimagining of Gap icons with a partner who shares our obsession to product detail,” Gap CEO and President, Mark Breitbard, notes on the collection.

Gap’s rebrand has been kicked into high gear since Zac Posen became its Executive Vice President and Creative Director in February. This year alone, the brand has collaborated with Madhappy, UK skate brand Palace, and the feminine, nostalgic brand Dôen. Recently, Old Navy also reissued some items from its 1994 collection for a limited time. Cult Gaia founder Jasmin Larian Hekmat said she—like many others—grew up wearing Gap and with this collaboration she aims to link “two worlds that most wouldn’t think go together.”

Aligning with Cult Gaia’s modern, structural designs, the reimaged Gap pieces have details like chain-links and gold hardware to give them that pizzazz factor. The campaign was shot by sisters Louise and Maria Thornfeldt and features model and actress Tina Kunakey, Kristina Byerley, Kelly Lim, Irene Law, and Christen Rhule. “Each piece in this collection is thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity, blending art and function in a way that feels unique and timeless,” Hekmat said in the release.
