GapStudio Fall 2026 Redraws American Sportswear

Across 20 pieces, Zac Posen reshapes denim, khaki, and shirting through precise cuts and shifting proportions
Workwear has occupied fashion for so long that the term now covers almost anything with a sturdy fabric or an extra pocket. Utility jackets, boxy jeans, and functional shirting have become familiar territory across the industry. For GapStudio’s Fall 2026 collection, Zac Posen reconsiders how staples can be cut, constructed and worn.

The twenty-piece collection focuses on denim, khaki, shirting, T-shirts, and straightforward workwear. What changes is the handling. Posen, executive vice president and creative director of Gap Inc., treats these archetypes as forms open to revision. Jackets are cropped or finished with exaggerated collars. Trousers fall long and fluid, while other styles stop abruptly above the ankle. Oversized shirts appear alongside abbreviated versions, allowing proportion to shift from one look to the next rather than settling into a single defining silhouette.
Posen describes the collection through a set of contrasts. “There’s a play between utility and sensuality, precision and ease, and the familiar and unexpected,” he says. These contrasts appear in softened tailoring, and practical garments given sculptural volume and precise construction that still allows for movement.

The women’s collection will be available at twenty stores worldwide, while the men’s line arrives at three U.S. locations: Flatiron, Chestnut, and The Grove. Select pieces will also be offered across Europe, the Middle East, Mexico City, Turkey, London, Japan, and Taiwan, as well as through Zalando and gap.com.
