Avant-garde darling Gareth Pugh has enjoyed a longstanding collaboration with Nick Knight, and the two reunited to show off Pugh's Spring 2018 collection this weekend on the big screen with a 16-minute long fashion film.

The film brought on famed choreographer Wayne McGregor and performance artist Olivier de Sagazan, around whom the beginning of the film is centered. Perhaps best described as a 16-minute study in transfiguration, the film begins with Sagazan and Pugh facing each other before smearing clay over each other's faces and bodies, to the point they are completely covered, while discordant and eerie sounds play.

The fashion is revealed two-thirds of the way in, with a model in a metallic red trench coat and red hair pacing around a red-and-black mirrored room. As more models walk out, the collection is slowly unveiled. At its finale, holy music begins to play as the film shifts entirely to gold and white light; models with blurred out eyes walk around with their arms out, feeling their surroundings, encased in reflective gold sheaths.
