“What’s in My Bag?” is a storied collection covering the last ten years of GCDS. The title plays on the popular trend and the concept of virality while immersing the audience into a performance rather than simply a runway show.

The collection covers all things customary to the GCDS brand, boxed logos, pop colors, exaggeration, glamour, all with an air of irony and play. The brand stays away from being too serious, instead opting for an emphasis on the bold and beautiful, making a spectacle along the way.

The tenth anniversary marks a moment of recognition for creative director Giuliano Calza. Calza explains that the collection looks deeper than the catchy title, “it’s about opening the bag that holds ten years of my world, and showing what’s inside: the culture, the humor, the established silhouettes and iconic designs that have made GCDS what it is.”

The title also encapsulates the process of collecting, gathering experiences from ten years of working in the industry. Each collection serves as an autobiography for Calza, a presentation of growth with each new season.

The set of the show plays with scale and spectacle, making modern objects oversized. This creates an entirely new world, private to the GCDS brand and those who love it. Models start their walk coming out of a larger than life GCDS shopping bag, the first looks reminiscent of the original aesthetics of the brand, varsity jackets and acid washed denim.

Later, a collaboration with Valentino Rossi is featured, an Italian icon. Next, striking prints appear, enlarged polka dots and pink snakeskin. The silhouettes are dramatic and the colors take on a brighter hue.

The styling and details are purposeful, with imperfections left to further the storyline. Dangerous and daring, the GCDS woman emerges. Accessories adorn the characters that take the runway. The platform shoes and crocodile bags amazingly hold the spotlight while sharing the stage with an oversized matcha.

GCDS Spring Summer 2026 inspires the iconic, audacious, flashy, allowing each person to dream of themselves without constraints of being too much. There is no “too much” in this world that GCDS opens up, the only requirement for entry is a willingness to be bold.
