Generation Gucci Returns with a Lookbook-Style Campaign Shot by Demna

84 images underscore accessories, footwear, and party clothes.
It’s Generation Gucci. In a new campaign, friends of the House come together to create the ultimate party wardrobe.
Intense smokey eye makeup acts as the crowning accessory to more clear-cut looks. The photos display fewer maximalist outfits than loyalists to the House have come to expect, instead leaning into underwear-inspired garments and minimal gowns in jersey and silk chiffon. Classic monogram and horsebit accessories are also underscored.

The campaign, photographed by Demna, is complete with 84 images showcasing each look. The creative director continues to pull from different decades of the House, favoring references from the Tom Ford era.
Generation Gucci first touched down last December in a surprise drop, also taking the form of a lookbook collection. The images reflected a ‘90s-inspired runway show that never happened. The newest installation of the campaign deepens its exploration of archival styles.

Old favorites are given new proportions. The Jackie 1961 is revamped, and the Dionysus bag appears in a sharper, more angular silhouette. The Paparazzo, a top handle bag with a horsebit accessory, is also given its time in the spotlight. Each bag’s ability to be dressed up or down reflects the casual glamour of the campaign.

Footwear is another high point. Valigeria-inspired ballerina flats are now available in men’s sizes, and loafers carry “the unstructured lightness of dancing shoes,” the House said in a statement.
